Course Description: Archaeological and ethnohistoric survey of the numerous civilizations of ancient Mexico from earliest inhabitants to the period of the Spanish invasion.  The cultures covered include Olmec, Teotihuacan, Zapotec, and Aztec.  Explores the environmental, social, and political conditions that led to the rise and fall of societies across Mexico.
