Library Policies

Guidelines for Community Groups

The mission of Wichita State University Libraries is to make available the information resources necessary for learning, teaching, and research and to provide the services that enable students, faculty, and staff to use these resources. University Libraries also supports the University’s service mission by providing community and statewide access to its resources.

General tours are available for any group interested in the design and activities of the library. Groups up to 20 members can be accommodated in most tours and special activities. Call the Instruction Librarian at (316) 978-5084 or a subject specialist at (316) 978-3591. Please schedule two weeks in advance.

Library hours vary, depending on the time of year. You may view current library hours or call Circulation at (316) 978-3582 for more information.

Out of consideration for other library users, visitors are expected to behave in a quiet and orderly manner.

University Libraries welcomes visitors. The goal of these guidelines is to help visitors have a rewarding library experience and make the best possible use of the professional staff and resources at WSU Libraries.

Questions regarding this policy should be directed to the Associate Dean of Public Services at 978-3586.
