Printing with Papercut

How to use the WSU Libraries printing system

What is Papercut?

What is Papercut?

Papercut is the WSU Libraries printing system. We no longer use Shocker Cards for print jobs, instead the cost of printing is deducted directly from your Papercut account.  Papercut allows you to add money to your account directly using a credit or debit card, and makes it possible for you to print to Library printers without using a library computer by using the web print option.

What do you need to know?

  • All WSU Students already have a Papercut account.  To access yours, go to and login using your Shocker ID and Password.
  • Black and White printing now costs $0.10/page
  • Color printing is available but only at Printer #5, it costs $0.25/page .
  • You can add money directly to your Papercut account with a credit or debit card by using the "Add Credit" option.
  • Don't have a credit/debit card?  Don't panic!  Take your cash to the Circ Desk, where they can give you a voucher that adds funds to your account.
  • What about the money still on your Shocker Card?  You can still use it to make copies, or you can go to the Shocker Card office in the RSC to ask for a refund.
  • You can use the "Web Print" option on Papercut to print on library printers using your own laptop.  However, Web Print jobs must be in PDF format.
